On this fine Friday I must plop down and get on my laptop to write this short, but important, blog. “About what?” you ask.

*let’s out an extremely long sigh*

They are doing it again. “Who?” you ask.

The entitled trans lobby members at the University of Melbourne. That is who.

They are targeting Dr. Holly Lawford-Smith, Professor at the University of Melbourne, again! They haven’t managed to get their way by stomping and shouting yet, so they are going for another round on Wednesday March 31st.

Another protest. Another round of targeting a woman.

Another protest. Another round of targeting a woman.

This group at the University of Melbourne, along with some journalists, have targeted Holly numerous times, and below are some examples.

Round 1

Round 2

Round 3

Like spoiled children they keep whining, but this behaviour, while seemingly childish and silly, has serious implications for women that are repeatedly targeted in such ways.

They go out of their way to make one woman feel ostracized, marginalized and try to make her feel on edge, to say the least, yet they go around claiming to feel or be unsafe. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

I just have a few quick things to say to this bigoted lot…

  • They’re not promoting transphobic content in your subjects or courses

  • Why should they? The website isn’t transphobic. You little wankers.

  • You moving on - YES! Crying “hate speech” all the time - NO!

There you go! Problem solved! There is no transphobia in the University courses. There is no hate speech on the No Conflict They Said site.

There is no need for a protest, guys and gals! Yeah!

Event cancelled!!

Seriously, though, in closing, here are examples of some of the pushback the trans lobby is receiving on the event page over their blatant bullying tactics.

And here is where you can go and report these members of the trans lobby for cyberbullying:
