Vic Conversion Bill

Watching the debate in Victorian Parliament about a Bill that was described as a “dog’s breakfast” and opposed by tens of thousands of people ranging across all sorts of different views, lifestyle choices, sexual orientations and classes was PAINFUL! I could feel the collective distress and panic being felt by thousands of women, thousands of lesbians, thousands of gays, and thousands of parents, lawyers, medical professionals, legislative experts and more. That Bill should have never passed the Legislative Assembly, much less the Legislative Council.

The Victorian Attorney General…..my god. I don’t think that woman read the Bill. She refused to answer so many legitimate questions and didn’t address any of the concerns from other politicians, the community, including the LBG community, or professionals and experts in relevant fields. Australians should be alarmed at the behaviour of our politicians.

I have SO MUCH to say about this Bill, but the thing is, so many intelligent, compassionate and experienced people already have said everything that needed to be said about this sad excuse for legislation. So I will showcase some of those statements below along with an image of the front page of The Age.
